At Equifax, register for an account to receive a free Equifax Credit Score Card. (Registration is free, and no credit card information is required.) It’s the first free “credit score” we’ve ever seen. You’ll get access to your “credit score range” with a description of key factors that may be negatively affecting your score. (Your specific credit score is not provided.) You’ll be able to access this information for 30 days.

Of note, AnnualCreditReport.com offers a free credit report (with no credit score included) from all three major credit bureaus (Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian). Those credit bureaus founded the site based on federal legislation (the FACT Act). A free credit report can be requested once per year.
